Ispat Express To Have One More AC-3 Tier Coach, MEMU Trains To Replace 3 Passenger Trains In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In what comes as a good news to commuters of Indian railways, the Howrah-Titilagarh-Howrah Ispat Express will have one more AC-3 Tier coach. Besides, three pairs of passenger trains are to be replaced with MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) trains.

In view of rush and demands from passengers, Railways have decided to augment one more AC-3 Tier coach permanently in Howrah-Titlagarh-Howrah Ispat Express with immediate effect.

The train will run with one more AC-3 Tier coach from Howrah on April 18 and from Titlagarh on April 19.

Likewise, the Railways has decided to run MEMU trains by replacing earlier conventional coaches of Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar-Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar and Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Passenger Trains from last week of April, 2019.

On introduction of new MEMU trains, the services of the above passenger trains will be discontinued and run with new numbers.

While Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar (68408/68407) MEMU will commence from Bhubaneswar on April 20 and from Bhadrak on April 21, Bhubaneswar-Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar (68411/68412) MEMU will commence from both the directions on April 21 and Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar (68419/68420) will commence from Bhubaneswar on April 21 and from Palasa on April 22.

On the days of maintenance of the MEMU coaches, the earlier conventional coach will provide journey facilities for the daily commuters. The timings and stoppage of the above MEMU trains will be as per the timings of earlier conventional coaches.
