Paralakhemundi: An Indian Premier League (IPL) betting racket allegedly running at OSRTC garage near Treasury Office in Paralakhemundi of Gajapati district was busted on Monday night, informed SDPO Thakur Prasad Patra in a presser on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a 6-member team from Paralakhemundi Model Police Station led by IIC Bibekananda Swain conducted a raid at the garage and caught seven persons. Cash worth Rs 61,000 and eight mobile phones were also seized from their possession.

The arrestees were identified as Madhupa Ranjan Pattnaik (44), Gurrana Santosh (34), Abutala Lokesh (21), Kurumupu Kamesh (26),  Tandasa Rambabu (32), Ashis Purkait (36) and Tunu Gouda (42).
