House Torched Amid Group Clash Over Government Land Encroachment In Odisha's Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A house was torched by irate locals after a clash ensued between two groups during construction of a pond at Belamala village under Dhamnagar police limits of Bhadrak district on Monday.

Reportedly, a family of three brothers had built the house over a government land which had been opposed by the villagers many times. It was during construction of a pond on the land when the family members opposed it.

What started as a heated argument turned violent after a group of villagers asked the family to leave the spot. While two persons were critically injured in the clash, the house on the encroached land was torched by the villagers.

As per latest reports peace has been restored in the area. One platoon of police has also been deployed to maintain law and order situation.
