Holi Violence: Firing In Jeypore And Khurda, Group Clash In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: While people celebrated Holi with fun and fervour across the State, there were several incidents of violence reported on Friday.

At Jeypore, a minor girl was injured after miscreants fired at her from a short distance. The girl, aged about 12 years, sustained injuries and was shifted to Koraput district headquarters hospital.

While the miscreants are still at large, police have launched an investigation into this case.

Similarly, at Khurda, one Judhistir Mohapatra was injured after miscreants fired at him during the evening. The incident occurred at Tentulimula village under Jankia police limits. Local police have shifted Mohapatra Capital Hospital in the city and initiated a probe.

In another case, at least three person were injured in a group clash at Baramunda in Bhubaneswar. The incident occurred over an argument during Holi celebrations.
