Historic Cuttack Balijatra 2019 Inaugurated

Cuttack: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro inaugurated the historic  Cuttack Balijatra 2019 here this evening.

Patro inaugurated Balijatra-2019 which celebrates the rich maritime legacy of Odisha at the Baisnab Pani pandal in presence of Ministers Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pratap Jena, and Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, Cuttack MP Bhatruhari Mahatab and local legislators.

This year during the eight-day long trade fest power-packed performances will be organized each day starting from 12-19th November at Balijatra ground in four pandals on the banks of river Mahanadi.

Among the various cultural programmes to be organized during the fest are performances by famous singers Sona Mohapatra (who had courted controversy for her Rangabati remix for Coke Studio), Indian Idol fame Ruturaj Mohanty, Daler Mehendi (Bhangra singer), KK (Singer), Ira Mohanty, Asima Panda, Humane Sagar, Gudli Rath, Shital Patra, and Guru Ratikanta Mohapatra, said sources. 

Sona Mohapatra is excited to take on the concert stage at  Cuttack Balijatra 2019.  She has tweeted:
