Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is going to lash several parts of the State for next few days as the low pressure formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood is very likely to become more marked during next 24 hours, informed the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Orange warning has been issued for the districts of Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Puri, as per which heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts in the next 24 hours.
Similarly, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Rayagada, Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Ganjam, Balangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj and Boudh in the next 24 hours.
From September 3 to 4, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Sambalpur and Nuapada and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sonepur, Balangir, Koraput, Nawarangpur and Gajpati.
Similarly from September 4 to 5, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Cuttack, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Balangir.
The meteorological centre has also predicted squally weather with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph likely along Odisha coast and westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal.
As sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha coast and westcentral adjoining north Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours.
