Bhubaneswar: As two sitting MLAs of BJD have opted out from the fray this time and their sons have been given tickets for their respective home turfs, Basudevpur assembly segment in Bhadrak parliamentary constituency and Choudwar-Cuttack assembly segment in Cuttack parliamentary constituency, each father’s son spoke out today on their maiden venture into electoral politics.

Incumbent Forest & Environment Minister Bijayshree Routray’s son Bishnubrata Routray in his media reactions said, “Nothing of the sort of strategy. My father was straight forward, my grandfather was straight forward and I am also. We have served the people and involved ourselves in their happy and sad moments. Hence, we will move forward with the blessings of the people, face the fight and definitely be victorious undoubtedly.”

“The people are happy. They have received service. Basudevpur has marked development. There isn’t an iota of doubt. There is a great difference between Basudevpur of 30-40 years back and today’s Basudevpur. Basudevpur block is a developed one. It has also been awarded twice as a number one block. Demands never end. There are no main demands. By the way, the incomplete works will be completed with the support of the people and Chief Minister,” he asserted.

Choudwar-Cuttack assembly segment’s sitting MLA Prabhat Biswal’s son Souvik Biswal in his media reactions said, “This opportunity has been availed by me due to our dear Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Today I had come to seek his blessings.”

“I think there won’t be any problem for me as the strong organization my father has built in the constituency. The way my father will guide, I’ll act accordingly and take up programmes. Whatever problems will crop up, I’ll consult my father and proceed,” he opined.
