Sambalpur: The security guard was held by the police for the rape attempt of the 3-yr-old girl in the premises of Sambalpur Sadar Hospital premises. The accused has been identified as 22-yr-old Sujit Kumar Rana of Batemura village within Dhama police limits.

“If I were a layman, I would have suggested that the accused security guard should be shot dead. However, he has been arrested and strict action will be taken against him and the agency which outsourced him. It is hereby a warning to the outsourcing agencies against such incidents or else tough action would be taken against them also,” said Health Minister Pratap Jena.

Police arrested the guard on the basis of CCTV footage and the girl’s statement even though there is no sign of injury or marks in the body of the child.

Notably, she was lured by the secutrity guard while she was playing in the premises of Sambalpur Sadar Hospital premises and molested her.
