Good Samaritan Couple Rescues Abandoned Girl Child From Balasore Roadside

Balasore: Staying true to the saying 'Save Girl Child. Save The World', a married couple in Balasore became the reason behind a newborn girl's fresh lease of life. On the Bahanaga-Gopalpur main road, a couple travelling on a bike to Kalyani village rescued an abandoned girl child from roadside today.

The rescuers are identified to be Kabita Hota and her husband. The child was a newborn girl who was seen crying on the roadside near a Shiva temple. Details about how the child was left there have still not been found. They immediately rescued the child and traveled to Kalyani, where they contacted Childline.

Presently, the child has received help from Childline and their volunteers admitted her in Gopalpur Hospital. Till last reports came in, she had been handed over Child Welfare Committee.
