Berhampur: Ganjam police have setup four teams to nab the accused who allegedly gang raped a 10-year-old girl in Kabisuryanagar on Thursday night.

SP Brijesh Kumar Rai said that the teams are led by four Inspector-ranked officers who have launched a manhunt in different parts of the district to nab the principal accused and his associates.

The gang had barged into the girl's house during late night and abducted her after stealing valuables. The burglars committed the heinous crime at an isolated spot and abandoned the girl.

She was rescued by her relatives and rushed to the nearest medical facility. The child is being treated at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital.

Rai added that a team of forensic experts have examined the spot and collected vital circumstantial evidence. We have mounted round-the-clock technical surveillance and expect that the accused will be arrested soon."
