Bhubaneswar: Police on Tuesday seized four pistols and as many rounds of ammuntion from a history-sheeter Sangram Nath. He was apprehended from Bhubaneswar railway station by the Special Squad.


DCP Anup Sahoo said that Nath has criminal antecedents and had returned from Munger (Bihar) with the illegal firearms. He purchased the weapons at Rs 15,000 and sold it at double the price in Bhubaneswar.


The Commissionerate of Police have launched a special drive to check illegal firearm trade in the Capital City.
