Former Odisha DGP Prakash Mishra Joins BJP

Bhubaneswar: Former Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha Prakash Mishra joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party's State Headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

A 1977-batch IPS officer, Mishra served as DGP Odisha from July 6, 2012 to July 6, 2014. Later on December 1, 2014, he was appointed as the Director General of CRPF and held the post till February 29, 2016.

Today, he joined BJP in presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, party veteran Biswabhusan Harichandan and Damodar Rout.
