Former Kendrapara MLA Utkal Parida Joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: Eight leaders from both BJP and Congress, including former Kendrapara MLA Utkal Parida, joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in presence of party supremo-cum-Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday.

Utkal along with senior Congress leader of Paradeep, Pramod Jena, joined the BJD at Naveen Niwas here.

Other leaders who joined the party are BJP's Kendrapara District Vice President Gitanjali Sethi, Congress Observer Ranjan Kumar Das, Jagatsinghpur District Congress Committee Vice-President Santosh Kumar Das, Odisha Pradesh Congress Kishan Cell Secretary Biswanath Pani, Paradeep Youth Congress President Santosh Kumar Biswal and Paradeep Councillor Manoj Kumar Behera.

Welcoming them, Patnaik said that their joining will further strengthen the party.
