Bhubaneswar: Senior leader Rajkishore Das, who has recently resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in presence of party supremo-cum-Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday.

Das, who was the State vice-president of BJP, had resigned from the saffron party on March 23. He alleged some leaders in the BJP has been conspiring against him, therefore he joined BJD for protection.

"They are unable to tolerate the persons who want to move forward or are gaining popularity. It is nothing other than inferiority complex," said Das.

Reportedly, Das was a ticket aspirant for Morada constituency in Mayurbhanj district. He along with hundred of his supporters joined the BJD at an induction programme in the party headquarters here.
