Konark: Around 25 tourists from seven countries celebrated an eco-friendly Diwali at Konark in Puri district last night while spreading the message of environment protection and global peace.

The foreigners lighted earthern lamps, 'kaunria kathis' (special sticks burnt on the occasion) and offered sweets to each other inside the premises of Lotus Eco Resort situated beside Konark-Puri Marine Drive Road.

Traditional music and songs of Odisha enchanted the tourists on this auspicious occasion.

Their wishes of 'Happy Diwali' delivered a message of universal brotherhood.
