Fly-Overs Or Death-Traps: Commissionerate Police Identifies Five Black Spots

Bhubaneswar: With rise in fatal accidents over the flyovers in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police on identified five black spots on the National Highway passing through the Twin City.

One black spot each has been identified near Maa Bata Bhuasuni Temple in Janla, near the Potato godowns in Aiginia, near Sidharth Hotel in Nayapalli, on Acharya Vihar over-bridge and Pahala, informed Traffic DCP Bijay Kumar Sahu.

These spots have been identified on preliminary basis and 'Accident Prone Area' signages will be installed there along with barriers. On preliminary basis they will be set up till 9 PM, he added.

Sahu further listed the reasons of the mishaps as reckless driving, use of mobile phones during driving and not following traffic rules.
