Five Held For Hurling Bombs At House In Cuttack

Cuttack: Five persons were arrested on Friday in connection with the hurling of bombs on the house of one Sk Bilaluddin of Odia Bazar in Cuttack.

The accused have been identified as Sahil Bux (21), Sk Rajesh (25), Aman alias Sk Murad (24), Gulia alias Arif Ali Khan (20) and Pintu alias Ohid Hussain (32).

Reportedly on October 22, the five had hurled two bombs to the house of Bilaluddin over previous enmity relating to acute dispute of homestead properties. Though nobody was hurt in the incident, it had terrorized the residents of Odia Bazar.

Acting on a complaint of Bilaluddin, Darghabazar police in co-ordination with Special Squad of DCP Cuttack reacted promptly and nabbed the five accused.

Four live bombs, two bikes, four mobile phones and other incriminating materials have also been seized from their possession.
