Bhubaneswar: The PCR vans are now equipped with first aid kits after a voluntary organisation in collaboration with the Commissionerate of Police took up this initiative. Abhimanyu Samantray Welfare Society took the lead in this work.

The first aid kits were installed in all the PCR vans of the Capital City. These kits will be helpful when the PCR vans attend emergency cases especially accidents.

Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty said that there were many suggestions from the public on first aid kits for PCR vans. "The kits will help our personnel manning the PCR vans while attending cases involving human injury and accidents," he said.
