Fire Breaks Out In Omfed Parlour On SCB Medical Premises

Cuttack:  A fire broke out in a Omfed parlour on the premises of Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital late on Tuesday night. The fire tenders of SCB reached and doused it soon after.

Though there are no casualties reported, many items worth lakhs have been gutted in the fire. The reason behind this fire is yet to be ascertained.

In last six months, four fire incidents have been reported from SCB Medical College and Hospital, though with no casualties.

On April 8, a major fire broke out in the records room of SCB Medical College and Hospital following which several important documents were reduced to ashes.

In March this year, a fire had broke out in Pathology Department of the hospital in which two rooms were gutted.

And in February, a fire had erupted in the main Operation Theater (OT) of surgery department at the hospital, but a firefighting team doused the flames in time, averting any casualty.

In November last year, a fire had broke out in the Hepatology department of the hospital but no one was injured in the incident.
