FIH Series Finals: Offline Ticket Sale Begins, Profits To Be Contributed To CM Relief Fund

Bhubaneswar: As FIH Men’s Series Finals Bhubaneswar is set to begin on June 6, Hockey India today launched the physical sale of tickets at the Box Office at Kalinga Stadium and at various outlets throughout the host city of Bhubaneswar.

The organisers also announced that fans who have bought Online Vouchers for the tournament will be able to redeem them at the Redemption Counter at Gate. No 4 of Kalinga Stadium.

In a bid to help the state of Odisha and its people after the destruction caused by Cyclone Fani, Hockey India has also announced that all profits accumulated through the ticket sales will be further contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Building-up to the tournament, the people of Odisha have come out in support of the tournament as 150 volunteers including liaison officers, ball patrols, media coordinators, competitions assistants, etc have signed up to help in the conduct of a successful event. 

Thanking the volunteers from Odisha for their continued contribution in conducting world-class hockey events in the city of Bhubaneswar, Hockey India President, Mohd Mushtaque Ahmad, said, “Hockey India is extremely grateful to the people of Odisha  and the Government for supporting the sport of hockey in such a difficult moment (Cyclone aftermath) as well."

"We have been immensely saddened seeing the destruction and loss caused by Cyclone Fani, and to reciprocate the love and support showed by Odisha to the sport of hockey, we are going to give all the proceeds from the match ticket sales to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Odisha. Our aim is to help in rebuilding the state of Odisha through whatever contributions that we can make," he added.

The tickets at all the various outlets across the city will be available from 10:30 am to 5 pm. The outlets are:

The tickets for the tournament have been priced at Rs 200 for East Stand, Rs 100 for South and North Stand for the Group Stage matches to be played between 06-12 June 2019. The tickets for Semi Finals and Final on 14 and 15 June 2019 respectively are priced at Rs 250 for East Stand and Rs 150 for South and North Stand.

The Organising Committee has also extended free entry to East, North & South stands on first-cum-first-serve basis for all the morning matches being held on 06, 07, 10, 12 & 14 June 2019 at 8:45 am.
