Fans Flock to Barabati Stadium To Avail Offline Tickets

Cuttack: The craze of cricket fans outpoured outside the Barabati Stadium as thousands of them made a beeline to gets their hands on the offline tickets for the third ODI between India and West Indies.

The deciding match will be held here on Sunday, i.e. on December 22. The sale of offline tickets began today but the fans had reached the stadium premises on wee hours to not miss out on the final ODI of the series which lies tied as of now with both the hosts and guests winning one each.

Speaking to OMMCOM NEWS, two female fans expressed their extreme happiness on being able to avail tickets. One of them said she was upset as could not get a ticket last time but was happy to get one this time. Jayshree Mohanty from Cuttack said, “This is the first time that I will get to watch a match live.” The girls were huge fans of Captain Virat Kohli and Vice-captain Rohit Sharma and said that India will win the match.

There were minor unrests but the alert Cuttack Police kept the situation under control.

Notably, the sale began at 9 am today and will continue till 5 pm across 12 counters. A total of 10, 050 offline tickets have been made available and per person only tickets are sold.

The ticket prices are:

1. Gallery 1 and 3: Rs 600

2. Gallery 2 and 4: Rs 500

3. Gallery 6: Rs 400

4.  Gallery 6 (specific sections): Rs 200

5. Special Enclosure: Rs 3000

6. New Pavillion: Rs 5000

7. Corporate Box: Rs 8000

8. Gallery 4 (A/C Box): Rs 5000
