FANI Aftermath: Odisha CM Directs To Complete Puri Srimandir’s All Damage Repair Works By June 17

Puri: Taking stock of the situation following the devastation caused by Cyclone FANI recently, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed the officials to complete all repair works of Puri Srimandir damaged by June 17.

The very severe cyclonic storm, that had its landfall off Puri coast on May 3, has caused massive damage to this district including the world-renowned temple of Lord Jagannath.  

During his review, the Chief Minister also found that the Jaya-Vijaya idols in Srimandir have also been damaged by Cyclone Fani and ordered that the sacred idols will be constructed again.

In his media reactions soon after the review, he said that repair work of the lion idols is undergoing and stress will be laid on completion of all repair works of the damages by June 17.
