Balangir: Four members of a family including two minors sustained burn injuries after a woman attempted self immolation over a family feud at Nuapada village under Tarabha block of Subarnapur district on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the woman identified as Kousalya Selma after a scuffle with her husband Tiku Selma, over the latter's liquor consumption, poured kerosene over her body and set herself on fire.

In an attempt to save her, Tiku along with his son Ayan and daughter Ayushi also sustained burn injuries. They were later rescued by neighbours and rushed to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir.

Meanwhile, Kousalya and her daughter Ayushi have been shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.
