Extension Of Gondwana Express To Sambalpur Via Talcher, New Stoppages Of Other Trains Announced

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha today made announcements of service extension of Gondwana Express up to Sambalpur, Jharsuguda via Talcher and also new stoppages of several other trains in Odisha.

He also dedicated new escalator and foot over bridge at Brahmapur railway station as well as improved Circulating Area at Talcher railway station. In addition, he laid foundation stone of new escalator at Bhubaneswar railway station.

As per the announcements made, Gondwana Express Train has now been extended to Sambalpur via Jharsuguda Road. Now the train will run between Sambalpur and Shalimar via Talcher three days a week. So far the new stoppages have been announced, Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (20817/18) will now stop at Dhenkanal railway station, Howrah-Satya Sai Nilaya Prashanti Express (22831/32) at Balasore railway station, Haldia-Madras Superfast Express (22613/14) at Balasore railway station, Howrah-Kanyakumari Express (12665/66) at Bhadrak railway station, Purulia-Villupuram Express (22605/06) at Jaleshwar railway station, Paradip-Puri Express (18413/14) at Kanas Road railway station, Howrah-Puri Express (12821/22) at Markona railway station, New Delhi-Puri Neelachal Superfast Express (12875/12876) at Dhanamandal railway station, Kendujhargarh-Bhubaneswar passenger train (58425/58426) at Dhanmandal railway station and Barbil-Puri Passenger (18415/16) at Kanas Road railway station.

The announcements were made here by Sinha in presence of Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during the dedication and inauguration of railway facilities and amenities.
