Ex-Kakatpur MLA Rabi Mallick Joins BJP

Bhubaneswar: Hours after resigning from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), former MLA of Kakatpur Rabi Mallick joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday.

Mallick was welcomed into the party by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in presence of Odisha BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty and other party leaders.

Earlier today, in his resignation letter addressed to the BJD president, he mentioned that he tenders his resignation from the primary membership of BJD.

He had also resigned as the Member of Odisha State Planning Board (OSPB) on April 1.
