Bhubaneswar: Nabarangpur Lok Sabha constituency’s late Congress MP’s nephew and 30 professionals, including a retired ADG ranked IPS officer of Odisha cadre, joined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today at Naveen Niwas in presence of BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Soon after the BJD ‘Mishran Parba’, Naveen Patnaik in his media reactions said, “Sadashiv Pradhani, nephew of late Khagapati Pradhani, ex-MP of Nabarangpur, has joined the Biju Janata Dal today. I welcome him to the party. His joining will strengthen our party.”

“I’m glad that about 30 professionals from various fields have joined the Biju Janata Dal today. I welcome them to our party. Their joining will strengthen the Biju Janata Dal,” the BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister added.

In his reactions, Pradhani said, “Since my days as a student, I have witnessed Odisha’s legendary figure late Biju Patnaik, my elder father Shri Khagapati Pradhani, who was nine-time Nabarangpur MP and my father was also the first ever Zilla Parishad president of Nabarangpur. I have been inspired by them and today I have made up my mind for this public life and do social service.”

“Whatever duties and responsibilities will be assigned by our party supremo, I’m ready to comply sincerely as a worker. The strong and clean leadership of Shri Naveen Patnaik has specially attracted me towards Biju Janata Dal. I hope I’ll work for the development of my area and strengthen the party,” he stated.

Advocate Kiran Rout said, “The main reason behind my joining is the way Naveen Babu is putting all his concerted efforts to realize the dreams of Biju Babu. Nobody other than him has done till date.”

“He is implementing all the ideals. Hence, we want to lend him support in his attempts and make our area No 1. One day we will make him PM from CM. And also make Biju Janata Dal a national party,” she beamed.

Retired professor Dr Harish Chandra Nayak said, “I have an obligation to Biju Babu’s scion Naveen Babu. Also, I don’t find a parallel to Naveen Babu in Odisha the way his stature is. Hence, I joined BJD. Whatever order will be passed on to me by our dear Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, I’ll obey it in true letter and spirit.”

Retired ADG of Odisha Police Shri Gopabandhu Mallick in his reactions said, “After my retirement, I decided that our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaikji is working for the development of Odisha and he is also famous as the No 1 Chief Minister in the entire nation.”

“In my lifetime I had never witnessed the quantum of development he has done for Odisha. Thus in a bid to involve myself in his development spree, I today joined Biju Janata Dal,” he remarked.

Senior BJD MLA and party general secretary Sanjay Das Burma said, “Shri Sadashiv Pradhani was an Assistant General Manager in NALCO. He today joined Biju Janata Dal by resigning from his job. His elder father Khagapati Pradhani had represented Nabarangpur Lok Sabha many times. His father Shri Gopinath Pradhani was the first ever president of Nabarangpur Zilla Parishad. With his joining, our party organization will be more strengthened in the tribal-dominated district of Nabarangpur.”
