Bhubaneswar: The efforts of the gang men and engineers to restore normalcy in the State, amid challenging heat wave conditions, in the aftermath of extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI is a matter of appreciation, said I&PR Secretary Sanjay Singh on Wednesday.

Singh thanked the gangmen and engineers from Odisha and especially those who are mobilised from other States as officers from Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Telangana and Bihar along with their gangs are working under high temperature and high humidity in an unknown terrain.

While CESU has set up centralized kitchen to provide them food at right time, people are also helping the restoration workers by providing them water and place, such as school buildings, to take rest in the afternoon, he added.

A massive arrangement has been done by taking around 5000 persons and providing them all materials which are not locally available but are imported from various States including Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, said Singh adding they are doing exceptional work and it should be appreciated.
