Bhubaneswar: BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Puri, Sambit Patra, is going viral for his unusual statement calling for victory to the BJD in the parliamentary constituency.

"Let only 'Sankha' win in Puri, is my pledge before Lord Jagannath today," said Sambit Patra during his visit to the pilgrim town on Monday.

This slip of tongue invited an uncalled-for trouble for Sambit as 'Sankha' (conch) is the symbol of the ruling BJD, main opposition for BJP in Odisha.

Reportedly, tech-savvy social media warriors have grasped this opportunity to campaign for BJD.
