Elephant Scare In Odisha's Mayurbhanj, Two Killed In Two Days

Mayurbhanj: Elephant attacks have spread panic in the district. Two persons have been killed in forested areas of Karanjia and Saraskana in the past two days. On Thursday, a 55-year-old man Dagudu Murmu was killed in hs farm after being attacked by elephants.

The incident took place in Bhulabani village in Joka panchayat of Saraskana block. On Wednesday, a person was killed by elephants in Karanjia forest division.

After getting the information of Murmu's death, Forest officials and Jharpokharia police rushed to spot. Locals protested and demanded protection from the elephants. They also demanded compensation for the family of the deceased.
