Balangir: In a bizarre incident, police detained a senior doctor of Jamgaon Community Health Centre (CHC), who was in an inebriated condition, for creating nuisance and trying to forcefully barge into a person’s house.

The accused has been identified as Dr Abinash Mishra. He works as a Nodal Officer of District Cancer Cell at Jamgaon CHC.

Sources said that Dr Mishra, in an inebriated state allegedly first created ruckus and tried to barge into a person’s house by jumping walls. The Police were duly informed, who then detained the drunken doctor. They also seized his two-wheeler and a liquor bottle from him.
