Bhubaneswar: In good news for the State-run Public Sector Unit (PSU) employees, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hiked the dearness allowance by two per cent thus giving away a major Diwali bonanza.

As per a press note released by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), “Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has accorded his seal of approval for augmenting the DA by 2%. Following this, the total DA has soared to 9% from 7%. This is to be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2018.”

“The hike will be applicable only for the employees of the PSUs abiding by the terms and conditions laid down by the State Government. Those PSUs having not abided by the terms and conditions would recommend their respective proposals to the General Administration (GA) department for consideration,” added the press note.

Notably on October 15, Odisha Government had enhanced the Dearness Allowance (DA) of its employees and pensioners by 2 per cent dubbed to be the Dussehra Bonanza.
