Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das inaugurated LED display screens at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and laid foundation stone for a new radiotherapy unit at Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack on Friday.

The display screens have been installed to spread awareness on Government's health-related schemes, medicines and all information regarding hospitals across Odisha. The Minister said, "These boards will be put up in all Government colleges and hospitals to help the public get information easily."

He then went on to lay the foundation stone for a new radiotherapy unit at Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack. Costing over Rs 627 lakh and built in 5880 square feet, the new unit will have a high energy Linear Accelerator (LINAC), low-energy LINAC, Brachy-therapy machine and conventional simulator. "Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's vision is 'Healthcare for All'. This is a step towards that goal," Das added.
