Malkangiri: After having kickstarted his election campaign from Ganjam day before yesterday, BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today carried on his electioneering in Malkangiri and Koraput districts of the same southern parts of the State.

In his election campaign specch at Kalimela in Malkangiri, the regional satrap once again took a potshot at the BJP as well as its tall leaders at the Centre (especially targeting PM Modi and Amit Shah).

“I’m putting forth some data for your (people’s) consideration. There had been flood and cyclone, they (BJP central leaders) didn’t come to Odisha. But now during election, tall leaders of BJP have come for votes,” lampooned Naveen, adding, “Polavaram serving whose interest? Why KBK Yojana was stopped? Why stopped the scholarship of poor ST/SC students? This is the sympathy of these leaders for Odisha.”

Further taking a dig at them, he burst, “The bigwigs of BJP are now shedding crocodile tears.”

Canvassing for votes, the BJD supremo stated, “4.5 crore people of Odisha are my family members. I’m always with you and remain so. Bless me. Cast your vote in favour of conch symbol. Cast it twice, one for the MLA candidate and another for the MP candidate.”

Naveen today campaigned here for his party candidates for Nabarangpur Lok Sabha and the Assembly seats.

Besides BJD Lok Sabha candidate Ramesh Majhi and Malkangiri Assembly contestant Mukund Sodhi, BJD leaders Arabinda Dhali and Manas Madkami were prominent among others present at the election campaign meeting.

On the contrary, no counter reactions of BJP were available with OMMCOM NEWS till the filing of this story.
