DGP Reviews Security Preparedness For Vice President's Odisha Visit

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) B K Sharma on Wednesday reviewed security preparedness for the forthcoming visit of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu to Bhubaneswar on October 6.

"The Vice President of India will be visitng Bhubaneswar on 6th. According to his itinerary, he will be attending different programmes at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. At today's meeting we deliberated on the various security aspects of the Vice President's visit," informed DGP Sharma after the meeting at his Camp Office here.

The meeting was attended by senior police officials, airport officials and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials, he added.

The DGP further informed that a detailed programme was chalked out at the meeting for smooth conduct of the Vice President's visit  without compromising the security angle.
