Bhubaneswar: All private vehicles going to departure or arrival from and to the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar will not have to pay any fees from today after implementation of the new parking policy.
As per the new policy, only departure is free for commercial vehicles. Access fee of Rs 40 will be levied on all Commercial Vehicles (Contract carriage as defined in Motor Vehicles Act), except Airports Authority of India (AAI) licensed partner at the airport.
However, parking fees will be charged from all the vehicles entering the designated parking area in the airport.
While two wheelers have to pay Rs 10 up to 30 minutes, Rs 15 up to 2 hours, Rs 5 per extra hour from 2 hours to 7 hours and Rs 45 up to 24 hours. Cars have to pay Rs 20 upto 30 minutes, Rs 55 upto 2 hours, Rs 10 per extra hour from 2 hours to 7 hours and Rs 165 upto 24 hours.
Likewise, Tempo/SUV/Minibus have to pay Rs 20 upto 30 minutes, Rs 60 upto 2 hours, Rs 10 per extra hour from 2 hours to 7 hours and Rs 180 upto 24 hours. Coach/Bus/Truck have to pay Rs 30 upto 30 minutes, Rs 70 upto 2 hours, Rs 10 per extra hour from 2 hours to 7 hours and Rs 210 upto 24 hours.
Further, government owned vehicles or government sponsored buses shall be allowed free of cost.
Parking of any vehicles in the lanes or roads leading to entry or any other area other than designated parking area shall attract penalty as per AAI policy.
