Jajpur: Indian Army jawan from Odisha Sangram Keshari Jena has created a world record by covering 128 kilometres while standing backwards on an 11-feet ladder atop a moving motorcycle at a show organised at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.
A member of the Daredevils’ Motorcycle Display Team of the Indian Army Corps of Signals, Jena covered the distance in a matter of 4 hours 29 minutes and 45 seconds breaking the record of BSF’s Avdesh Singh, who had performed the stunt for 68 km.
Upon returning to Odisha, Sangram was taken to his native village Balia under Bari panchayat of Jajpur district in an open jeep. He was accorded a grand welcome by political leaders, public and family members for the accolade.
