**Bhubanewar: ** Close on the heels of regular high level reviews by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik last week and also his aerial tour to the three southern districts of Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada on Saturday last, Odisha Chief Secretary also left for worst-hit Gajapati district today in the aftermath of severe cyclonic storm Titli and flood triggered by the torrential rains last week.
Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi left for Gajapati district to review flood situation and the ongoing restoration work in the area.
He is to hold discussions with the district administration on future course of action.
Before going on his tour, Padhi in his media reactions said, “Due to cyclone Titli, maximum damage has been caused in Gajapati district. Hence, in order to review the situation and hold discussion with the district administration and pass necessary instructions on the future course of action, I’m leaving for Gajapati today.”
“It is being done under the direction of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. I shall also be apprising the Chief Minister about the present situation there after holding the review,” he informed.
Notably, the Chief Minister has already formed a three-member ministerial committee to monitor closely the relief, rescue and restoration measures in person as the operations in the three affected districts are going on a war-footing and it has been the major focus of the State Government. The Chief Minister has also already announced special package for the affected families and the districts on Saturday last week.
