Cuttack: In the aftermath of extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI, not only government and non-government organisations but persons from all sectors including transgenders have voluntarily extended their support to affected people in areas of Cuttack city.

A transgender social activist in Cuttack, Tanushree Behera, said their team is supporting affected people in the city for the last three days. They have been providing dry food including flattened rice, sugar and biscuits for the first two days and today they served cooked food to families living in urban slum areas around Barabati.

Meanwhile, the district administration has distributed biscuits and arranged for cooked food including rice and dalma in all cyclone shelters in Cuttack.
