Bhubaneswar: Not only has the extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI caused extensive damage across the Capital City after its landfall on Friday, it has also ransacked the Bhubaneswar railway station and Biju Patnaik International Airport.

While the roof of Bhubaneswar railway station has been torn at places, the signboard outside the station has also been damaged. Similar is the situation of Bhubaneswar airport as both faced the wrath of nature.

As the Indian Railways have cancelled all trains originating from and coming to Bhubaneswar in view of the cyclonic storm, hundreds of passengers have been left stranded. Besides, a number of people have taken shelter at Bhubaneswar Railway Station since this morning.

The people who have taken shelter at the railway station are mostly local people and not passengers. Over 400 people are being looked after by the Station staff and food is also being served to them in view of the natural calamity.
