Cyclone FANI: Only One Short Flag To Be Tied To Nilachakra Atop Puri Srimandir

Puri: With extremely severe cyclonic storm 'FANI' moving towards Odisha, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri has instructed to tie only one short flag to Nilachakra atop the shrine.

As per a notification from the SJTA, only one short flag will be tied to the Nilachakra from May 1 to 5 and in order to avoid any interruption in the rituals of the Lord another flag of same length will be tied firmly around its rim.

The Supervisor of the temple has been instructed not to issue any receipt for tying of the flag on these days. If needed anyone can interested to tie the flags can give it to Chunara servitors.
