Cyclone FANI: Odisha CM Announces Financial Assistance, Relief Package For Affected People

Bhubaneswar: After the widespread devastation and destruction caused by Cyclone FANI in the coastal districts of Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced relief and financial assistance for all the affected people.

The list includes:

In all the affected districts, provision of one month additional pension and house building assistance as per relief code, that is- Rs 95,100 for fully damaged structures, Rs 5200 for partially damaged structures and Rs 3200 for minor damages.

Houses completely damaged will be reconstructed under housing schemes expeditiously.

The district of Puri and parts of Khurda have been extremely and severely affected. For all families covered under Food Security Act, fifty kilograms of rice along with Rs 2000 and polythene will be provided.

In the parts of Khurda district that have been severely affected, all families covered under Food Security Act will get additional one month quote of rice along with Rs 1000 and polythene will be provided.

In Cuttack, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur, affected families will receive additional one-month quota of rice and Rs 500.

Loss of agricultural and horticultural crops, animal resources, fisheries will be assessed and compensated accordingly.

Plantation of trees will be taken up in mission mode soon after relief & restoration.
