Bhubaneswar: As the extremely severe cyclonic storm made a landfall at Puri at 8:12 AM today, its impact was also experienced in Bhubaneswar with uprooting of trees and snapping of electric lines.

The ODRAF team, deployed for clearance of roads after the menace, immediately jumped into action and started cutting the trees.

A team member of ODRAF, Sasmit Kumar Sahoo, said that they were prepared for the purpose from morning 8 AM and will continue to clear the roads even after dark.

He informed that a team of ODRAF along with some volunteers of a social service organisation has been deployed from cutting of trees. While it cannot be estimated when the roads will be cleared they are trying to complete the work as fast as possible.
