Cyclone Fani: MHA Orders Release Of Rs 340 Cr Advance Funds For Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered for the advance release of financial assistance of Rs 1086 crore to Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal to their respective State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

Based on the decision of National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC), Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered for Rs. 340.875 cr to be released for Odisha, Rs 200.25 cr for Andhra Pradesh, Rs. 309.375 cr for Tamil Nadu and Rs. 235.50 cr for West Bengal.

The funds are being released for assistance in undertaking preventive and relief measures in response to Cyclone Fani, mentioned a press release by Press Information Bureau.
