Bhubaneswar: As Odisha fights back normalcy after being hit by an extremely severe cyclone Fani, various sections of the society have come forward generously with financial contributions for rebuilding the state.
In a bid to strengthen the initiative, the IAS Officers Association of Odisha have pledged a support of Rs 10,000 per member to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Association secretary Vishal Dev said that a resolution has been passed that every member of the Odisha IAS body will contribute Rs 10,000 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. These contributions will be directed towards restoration and relief work for those affected by Cyclone FANI.
The Association has written to the Finance Department to make necessary arrangement for deducting the amount from the salary of each of its members.
Meanwhile, citizens all over the country are volunteering towards coordinated efforts to supply relief materials to the people of the affected region.
