Cuttack Train Collision: Railway Safety Commissioner To Hold Inquiry From Jan 18

Bhubaneswar: The Commissioner of Railway Safety, South Eastern Circle, Kolkata, will be holding a statutory inquiry on the train mishap which occurred in Cuttack today morning, informed a notification from the Divisional Railway Manager, ECoR, Khurda.

The Railway Safety Commissioner Abhai Kumar Rai will commence the inquiry from 10 AM on January 18 at Officers' Rest House in Cuttack, situated 50 meters away from Platform No 1 entrance of Cuttack Railway Station.

Any member of the public having knowledge relating to the accident and matters connected therewith and desiring to give evidence may do so at the above mentioned place on the date of inquiry. The LTT Express had today morning hit a stationary goods train between Salagaon and Nergundi railway station near Cuttack due to dense fog. While there were no casualties in the incident, around 21 persons were injured. All injured received immediate treatment at the local hospital and those critical were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
