Cuttack DEO Directs To Make “Mission Zero F” A Big Success

12 October 2019

Cuttack: Cuttack District Education Officer (DEO) had on October 3 directed all Block Education Officers (BEOs), Headmaster and Headmistress of all categories of school in the district to implement the “Mission Zero F”, so that not a single student will fail in the ensuing Annual HSC Examination 2019.

With less than 120 days left for the students to prepare for the Annual HSC Examination, the DEO instructed that the Headmasters and the subject teachers of Class-X as well as the BEOs must be up and doing and work on war-footing mode to make the mission a big success, so that Cuttack District becomes a model for the entire State.

All the teachers teaching Class-X students and the Headmasters of the school were therefore instructed that without written permission of the concerned BEO of their block, neither they nor the subject teachers of Class-X of the school will avail C.L and Headquarter leaving permission.

In this regard the BEOs must make surprise inspection of the schools of the blocks to check the attendance of Subject Teachers of Class-X as well as supervise the teaching-learning transaction being taken in classes by the Teacher and report the discrepancy if any. In case of any negligence the same must be reported to the DEO immediately for initiating stringent disciplinary action, against the defaulters.

The BEOs were also directed to form a WhatsApp Group of the High School Headmasters and Headmistress of their respective Block and monitor their work daily with special focus on academic progress of students of Class-X.

Since Mission Zero "F" is a part of the "5T" principles adopted by the State Government for efficient public service, the BEOs, Headmasters and Headmistresses were informed that zero tolerance will be adopted to ensure the cent-percent success of the Mission Zero "F".

Further the subject teachers of Class-X, Headmasters of schools and BEOs were directed not to avail Puja Holidays other than government calendar holidays from October 5 to 8. During these days they would take special remedial classes for the students and report the same to the DEO on day to day basis.

The extra initiatives undertaken by the teachers, Headmasters and BEOs for successful implementation of Mission Zero "F" will be recognised and rewarded by the District Administration, the DEO added.
