Bhubaneswar: Members of ANAND, a multi-activity centre for senior citizens, organised a cultural event at the auditorium of Guru Kelu Charan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Celebrating the Annual Day Function of the centre, senior citizens presented different cultural activities like Group Song, Group Dance and Fashion Show at the event. They also received prizes for different competitions they had participated.
The event was graced by BMC Commissioner Prem Choudhury, Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan's State Head Suresh Mohapatra, Bhubaneswar Doordarshan Director Dhruba Nanda and HelpAge India's State Head Bharati Chakra among other dignitaries.
ANAND Centre is a joint initiative of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department (SSEPD) department of Odisha, Tata Trusts and HelpAge India which was inaugurated in September last year by the then SSEPD Minister Prafulla Samal.
