Kalahandi: Electrocution death of a couple in Mukhiguda of Kalahandi district on auspicious Savitri Puja, a day in which married women pray and fast for their husband’s long life, has shocked the people of the area.
The deceased have been identified as Ashok Nag (40) and his wife Radha Nag (35).
Reportedly, Radha had gone to fetch dried clothes when she received electric shock after coming in contact with a wet wall conducting electricity. Ashok rushed for her rescue but he was also fatally electrocuted on the spot.
Two minor children of the couple had a narrow escape from the mishap when a neigbour came to their rescue.
