Coal And Mines Min Participates In Plantation Drive At NALCO

Bhubaneswar:  On his maiden visit to the State, the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Prahlad Joshi today participated in a plantation drive at the NALCO Bhawan, the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) head office here.

Joshi arrived at about 9.45 am and actively participated in the plantation drive. IAS officer-turned Bhubaneswar Member of Parliament (MP) Aparajita Sarangi also took part in the event. NALCO Deputy General Manager Asutosh Rath along with other officials was also present.

Established in 1981, NALCO is one of the largest integrated Bauxite-Alumina-Aluminium- Power Complex in the Country. The Company has a Bauxite Mine and an Alumina Refinery located at Damanjodi in Koraput district, and an Aluminium Smelter and a Captive Power Plant located at Angul.
