Chhattisgarh-Based Maoist Surrenders Before Malkangiri Police

Malkangiri: A Sukma-based Maoist cadre surrendered before Malkangiri police on Friday. The Maoist, Madkami Dula is a native of Karigundam village under Chintagufa police limits in Sukma district.

Malkangiri SP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo said that Dula surrendered on the initiative of the district police and CRPF's 74 Batallion. Dula is involved in at least six serious crimes including the murder of one Sahadev Badnaik in December 2015.

He joined the Military platoon of CPI Maoist in 2015 and was working as guard of Uday, a dreaded Maoist cadre.

"Dula will get monetary assistance as per the Surrender and Rehabilitation Scheme of the Odisha Government. He will also get financial assistance for building house, pursuing studies and vocational training," the SP added.
